Getting Traffic (part 1)

It is no big "secret" that getting traffic to your website or blog is what can "make" or "break" your online efforts. When I first started out I thought that would be the easy part. I spent most of my time learning how to build websites and just assumed that when I put them up that naturally people would find it."Boy was I wrong"! Where I got that impression I have no idea but I know now and I am still trying to pick up the pieces from that mess so let's start to take a look at some techniques that we can incorporate into getting visitor's to our site's.
I want to start with some of the "Free" methods first because I think alot of people are led to believe that you have to pay for advertising and that is not the case at all! Yes you can benefit from paid advertising like Adwords for instance but we will deal with them later. Right now we will stick to the free one's.

(Method one): Writing Articles...

Write some article's that describe your website or blog that tell the reader what you are about and what you are trying to accomplish with your business. This can establish a good relationship with your reader's and will gain their trust which is the most important part of your online identity and establishing your own "Brand".
Then after you have written your article you can submit them to some article directories to get the word out about your site or blog.
A great place to start would be GoArticles.com because not only can you submit your article for free you can also find some great content for your site.
Here's a little freebie I happen to run across in some of my research that I think you will enjoy when you go to submit your articles to different directories! So head on over and you can find it at www.articlesubmitter.imwishlist.com and to help give you a jump start with writing your own articles you can visit WritingArticles.net and find a lot of useful information there. I hope this helps you out on your article journey and we will continue on with some more method's next post.

Introduction

Hello and Welcome to my Blog! If you are thinking about becoming an affiliate internet marketer this blog is going to be focused with the beginner in mind. I have been working for several months now researching, testing, trying different methods, basically tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to make a living online and decided to share with you what I have been learning so maybe you won't have to go through all the problems that come along with finding a system that works. I would also like to hear about any of your encounters you may of had with playing the cat n' mouse game of internet marketing or any other story you would like to share. I want to kick this blog off with a series of techniques about getting traffic to your websites or blogs. I felt this would be a good place to start because it doesn't matter if we have the best website, blog, or product in the world. None of it would matter if we don't have traffic! I learned that the hard way myself. The very hard way! So on that note let's get started and I'll see ya' next post.
